If you want to stay …
If you want to stay within a budget, and don’t want to use the Azden, then don’t consider wireless. Use a wired lavaliere for better sound and low budget

Hi Bill, I have …
Hi Bill, I have just bought a Canon HV40 and I am going to be making instructional videos preferably in a theatre setting and I am looking for a high quality low budget mic with a pro sound.
I dont know why but this Azden mic doesnt appeal to me too well because of the reviews I have read over the net.
Can you point me in the right direction.
My budget is extremley limited now but I am always open to some suggestions even higher than my budget to get decent results.
Thanks in advance.

I haven’t tried using two lapel mics, because you’d need two bodypack transmitters, and they’d both have to be set to the same channel as the receiver, and as such, they’d likely interfere with each other.

External microphones require a microphone port on the camcorder.
The AV port is used to connect to external viewing device, not a microphone.
